We provide group and individual activities as well as days out and special occasions
Activities
No two days are ever the same at Gate Lodge. We provide a well planned range of activities, managed by our in-house coordinator. The aim is to keep residents occupied and happy, maintaining their health and wellbeing. Where residents have previous hobbies, we encourage them to maintain these whilst in our care. Every type of interest is catered for within a comfortable home-from-home environment. When residents have something to look forward to each day, they feel comfortable and fulfilled, no matter the condition of their mental health.
What We Do
As well as providing individual and group activities within the home and gardens, we also bring creative entertainers and artists into the home to provide entertainment, such as musical evenings, talks and even theatrical plays. Aside from this, other activities include

Days Out / Special Occasions
Mobile residents can enjoy the occasional day out, carefully planned by our activities manager.
Scheduled according to the time of year, we may offer trips into town for afternoon tea, day trips to the beach and special celebratory activities, such as birthdays, Easter and Christmas. We also include
visits to the cinema, local library and parks. Being located on the edge of the beautiful Webb Estate, we also encourage time spent outdoors, weather permitting.
Individual Activities
Working with a person-centred scheme of individual activities, we enable each person to enjoy doing the things they love. This might be reading, watching TV, knitting, playing a game of dominoes or bingo or spending time with their pets (brought into the home by family). Even the oldest of our residents have desires and goals hence individual achievement plans are drawn up to cater for this.
